Our Kelly Kadet twirlers had a great time at the state contest. We saw many beautiful performances, and everyone did their best. For everyone, it was a rewarding day.

In the end, everyone is a winner and everyone is a champion when they do their best. At the end of the day (after cleaning up), the last few twirlers remaining pose for a picture with their coaches, Amy and Shanon.
Last but not least, we want to recognize the winner of this year's "Guiding Star Award." This award recognizes the work of someone who has promoted or enhanced the sport of baton over the last year. This year it was given to Eileen Withermuth-Straub for her hard work in developing the Girl Scout Baton Twirling Workshops in the state of Oregon.
